Coffee is health food: Myth or fact?

Health research on coffee swings back and forth between good and bad news very frequently. You hear about one study claiming health benefits while another mentions list of negatives. Some of the findings around coffee are –

The good news:
Coffee seems to help prevent Depression and Stress
Coffee may preserve your liver
Coffee may provide protection against diabetes
Coffee may improve memory

The bad news:
Coffee can cause insomnia
Coffee can trigger anxiety
Coffee may induce your craving for sweets

So depending on an individual the choice to drink coffee varies. The major reason why we like to drink coffee is that it’s brain stimulant. Drinking it elevates mood and bolsters energy, at least for a little while, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s also delicious. In other words, drinking it makes us feel happy. So what more better reason we can look for? 🙂
